There's no such thing as a perfect marriage or relationship. No one's parents are perfect and no one has a perfect life. Sacrifices can and should be made, but how far is too far? When your life becomes a constant cycle of de-escalation and avoidance, at some point you need a break.
This is a short look into the life of Sarah, who has been coping with her partner's mental health issues for more than 8 years and is on the edge of them herself while dealing with 2 young children and a dog. Hopefully covered in a sensitive and at times so extreme it is funny way
I'm still standing at the bottom of the stairs. My brain goes through a list of responses. Is this it, the event that causes me to finally walkout. Some kind of tipping point that I'm going to look back on and say, yep. That was the moment.
It wasn't the moment, nothing even tipped really. It was yet another moment that I take a deep breath and accept. I blink back my tears and try to hide them not wanting to escalate things further.
I hope you enjoy the read. If you do, Sarah will be back with another update soon.
