One old, one young, two lives finding their way home...

Spin time back about a hundred years to rural, central west Georgia where memories of World War One still hover in people's minds and World War Two could never be dreamed of. Where the upper class drives automobiles while country folk ride in horse-drawn buggies or wagons, where local electric co-ops have strung lines, and many homes have taken advantage of newfangled contraptions that go along with it, where prohibition makes bootlegging a prosperous living for many and brings doom to others, and the boll weevil brings poverty and loss for others.
And where bad people stay hidden.
Families live and work together in an agricultural society. Much of their food and clothing comes from make-do and hard work. Students learn together in rooms that seat three grades each, and at play time, they all flood outdoors and run, swing, and enjoy being a child.
Most are happy and Godly people. But even here, evil hides among them.
This is the story of such a time. About a young girl and an old woman sharing stories about life. One tells of times on her family's farm, school and friends, and church: carefree, happy, and innocent. The other tells glossed over stories of her childhood: living with loneliness, haunting memories, and hurt. In spite of their differences, truth rises, and truth brings understanding love and, at last, forgiveness.
