How many times have you wanted something but couldn't get it? Or how many times have you wished for something, got so close that you took it for granted, and then realize that it didn't end up as you planned it?I have two young children, something we always wanted, but they did not come to us alone - autism also came to our lives. It is a label, an anomaly in this apparently normal world that will always accompany them, that will always mark them apart from the rest of the kids. We love our kids, autism is just another characteristic, and we will support them and push them to get better every day. This book is about positiveness and perseverance while accepting that sometimes things will not happen as we planned them. It is not about settling down or denial; if we accept our realities, we will enjoy the life we have and work hard to make changes happen.
