While raiding a compound belonging to the Order of Saint Patrick, Danny Nimbus and company rescues an elf held prisoner within. With this chance encounter and new connection, Danny allows himself to feel normal for the first time in a long while. Yet his peace has a price, and he finds himself and his companions in the deepest and darkest escapade yet. This new foe lurks in open and is not the magical big-leaguers he is used to dealing with. Now Danny must fight for his survival and the survival of everyone around him or be devoured by this enemy hiding in plain sight.
