Two Cultures At War

I often ask myself, saying, "What is the ideological root of all the worldly thoughts?" The answer to this question would help me assort them categorically. In its turn, it would enable me to comprehend them more reasonably. Maybe I found the answer. Shepherding and farming are two forms of human culture and, at the same time, two roots of human thoughts. The Primitive history (Genesis1-11) of the Bible introduced that the godly led a nomadic life, while the secular - an agricultural life. Nomads are usually sensitive to seasonal changes to gain grass. However, farmers are obsessed with the land to get more produce. The difference between time and space made another one in life and culture. They made people see the same world differently. Time concept gave people eschatological thinking, whereas space concept - evolutional one. Even today, human ideology, philosophy, and values are subject to either time or space. Accordingly, people argue with one another ideologically as well as theologically. It is better to choose temporal thinking rather than a spatial one to lead an intelligent life.
