Brody had found the Equine Sanctuary when he was at the lowest point of his life. Now he has a promising career as a young chef and a family of loved ones surrounding him. Brody has learned to love the sanctuary and was even adopted by the people who run it. He has cousins and aunts and uncles and even found his father and a new family he had never known. Together, he and his cousin Mike built a cabin for themselves on the Equine Sanctuary property. Life was quite promising for Brody. One thing was still missing, however. Brody's mother had disappeared two years before, and he carries a sense of loss and anxiety that can't be satisfied. When some strangers came to town, Brody finds himself at the center of a mystery.
