The Rituals of Ocd

What triggered my interest to write on OCD is an experience I had when I met one of my ex lovers. I met Alex through a friend when I was in college. On this sunny day, my friend, Brooke and I went to eat in the college's cafeteria when we met Alex. Alex, a very tall and handsome came to have lunch when he saw us from afar and decided to join us at the table. The waiter came for money at this time because we made a special order. I dipped my hand in my wallet and brought out money to pay the waiter. I was shocked when I heard Alex screamed,"what!, don't you know money is really dirty because it is touched by many and anything could be on it? That is why a cashier isn't allowed to touch food and at same time take money from customers. And are you still gonna eat with that hand again?". At this point I realized that Alex was suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Alex is not the only sufferer of OCD, there are a lot of people that experience the same. I have met people at the mall and cinema that I feel might have OCD. As a matter of fact, I can say one of Fifty people I have met exhibited the qualities of having OCD. Studies and researchers have found out that 1 of forty people is suffering from OCD.
