The book introduces you to a world called Nightwood which is inhabited by furry little creatures called Nose Elves. Nightwood is also filled with animals and magical creatures that can be dangerous from time to time. Narwynn is a Nose Elf who is different from everyone else and struggles to get by whilst being chased by creatures in the woods. In his attempts to protect the village from a gruesome Troll, Narwynn discovers that being different from everyone else can be a virtue rather than a weakness.
