While serving as mayor in her hometown, Rosetta Kairo finds herself facing a serious dilemma. Due to the lack of funding for programs, the city is looking to close down several Center Lounges. She later discovers that one of the centers that are on the list to close is the center that once helped her through her delinquent childhood. Feeling obligated to save her Center Lounge, she goes back there to figure out how she can help. While spending time with the kids from the center, she realizes that this would not be an easy task. The familiar faces of her past and memories she once buried begin to haunt her. Rosetta was not always the prestigious woman that the city of M-town now knows. As the saying goes .... Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Rosetta is just trying to figure out how to BALANCE it all out!
