Thirteen-year-old Emma, her father Brian, and older sister have planned a backpacking trip into the magnificent redwood forest of Northern California. It was a trip long overdue, postponed due to their mother's illness. Now, all together in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, Emma tries to draw out the elves and fairies that she is sure lives in the forest, with gifts. What she ultimately encounters change her family's lives forever.
