The Canary Islands are one of the best sunny winter destination for habitants coming from colder regions like northern and western Europe. It is only a few hours flight to go from freezing temperatures to a mediterranean climate. Begin February, coldest period, It is not unusual to find tourists sunbathing in swimwear on the beach.
