Santa and Bumble, the Bumbling Elf Joy Sheldon

Eek! A toppled Xmas tree and Santa's workshop full of soap suds! How did a well-renowned professor of chemistry and magic end up at the North Pole in charge of such a bumbling elf? And how did he get his wonderful Viking sleigh, ten reindeer (not eight!), and twenty (mostly unruly) elves? A fanciful depiction of Santa's life at the North Pole -imaginary descriptions of the candy cane house with 'living' Xmas tree, the busy workshop and the personalities of the elves and reindeer. Bumble, with little Rudy's help, causes excitement and accidents on Christmas Eve. However Santa turns disasters into rewards by the end of the story.
