A discovery was made many, many years ago by a small group of Navajo people not long after they traveled over a thousand miles from the far north down to northern Arizona following in the footsteps of their ancestors' past great migrations. This discovery answered a question that wouldn't even be asked for centuries to come. They held onto this discovery, this secret, until an early twentieth-century industrialist learned the truth of it. The same secret was held for over another hundred years until two people, Jake Warner and Naomi Conrad, the latter a descendant of that industrialist, figured it out and investigated on their own at great risk to each of them. Three years before they even met and learned the truth, Jake and his family had been targeted just for investigating the secret, unbeknownst to them at the time, what that reason was. His family and employees were injured or killed to protect it, but Jake survived and went into hiding, still not knowing why it was all happening. Then, Naomi found him by chance, and they joined together to further investigate, all the while, falling deeply in love. Once they knew what that secret was, they did something the industrialist and his descendants searched and failed to do over the years, find artifacts that the original founders hid for safe keeping. Those artifacts changed their lives forever, both physically, emotionally and in every way possible. They became more than human, endowed with abilities only seen in science fiction superhero movies. From then on, they were on a mission they felt obliged to undertake. It was a mission of exploration, discovery, culmination, and purpose, to finish what that secret had started all those years ago, a mission that was out of this world.
