About the Author Sherman Lee Mitchell II has a rich understanding of both organizational theories and human behavior, which led him to attain a Doctor of Psychology with an emphasis in Organizational Management and Consulting, a Master of Public Administration, a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, and Bachelor's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in criminology and corrections. Dr. Mitchell has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years, working with youth and young adults through various Los Angeles County facilities, such as the Regional Center, Probation Department and the Department of Children and Family Services. His professional background includes nonprofit founder, operations director, corporate administrator, Board of Directors' member and campus director of a short-term residential juvenile treatment facility, supervising more than 80 employees.
