Face-to-Face (F2F) and online learning are different. This means that instructional strategies have to be used differently when F2F learning is moved online. More attention needs to be paid to ensuring that students are heard, recognized and acknowledged to ward off boredom, frustration, chronic absenteeism and to prevent them from dropping the course, or from dropping out of school. "Presence" is the key for making the move from F2F to online learning a success.
