Crossing Jordan
Clive Beilby
The disappearance of civil rights activist Maurice Jordan was expected to go unnoticed by those who wanted him out of the way, and would have if not for the dogged tenacity of his daughter Kelsey and her best friend Gordon 'The Highlander' Paterson and the willingness of the staff at Police Headquarters, Mt Gravatt, to listen to a couple of kids who wandered in with a story to tell. The resulting investigation caused a tidal wave which swamped a local government authority involved in all manner of activities well outside their calling and carried on up the ladder to the fog shrouded halls of federal government. Crossing Jordan deals with the adventures of two kids and the input of two Queensland police officers who go beyond the call of duty to solve a mystery which becomes deeper as they go and just as they think they have it under control something happens which introduces urgency along with the involvement of a higher level of policing which goes beyond the confines of officialdom in order to safeguard two youthful adventurers and introduce them to a different world which offers new hope for the future.
