Dr. Reginald Blackhurst's first year on the bench as Lark County Circuit Court Judge is marred by the ritualistic and bizarre murders of three attractive young secretaries. As the bodies pile up and the responsible party is eventually brought to justice, one way or another, he finds himself haunted by both his own troubled childhood and that of a local teen.
