As far as it can be determined, this is the first book of Scots/English haiku ever published. Scottish Haiku & Other Delicacies, is a collection of haiku and selected longer poems written in Scots and English. The subject matter ranging across different topics, but some haiku and longer poems reflect the author's great affection for the city of his birth, Glasgow, and the city where he currently resides, Chicago. Writing the book was a labour of love, attempting to negotiate the exquisite and sublime Japanese poetic form of haiku into English and the Scots language (not to be confused with Scottish Gaelic). Hopefully, the reader will enjoy this book as much as the author did in writing it. Thenks.... Hae a guid read!
