During college history class, Andrew realizes he does not know why his Belgian ancestors immigrated tothe United States about a century ago. His parents are unwilling to reveal what seems to be a familysecret. Therefore, Andrew decides to depart on a journey by himself, in order to discover his roots. Bydoing so, he is also growing as a person. Due to a tragic event on arrival, Andrew is left alone in theBelgian capital Brussels. When he meets Kevin, a friendship is forged and together they pursue thequest to discover Andrew's true origin. When toward the end the friendship is tested, they both learnabout bonds that go beyond time.
