Marty Ramsey should have known better than to trust his lifelong, yet shady, friend Frank Loomis with money belonging to the high school basketball team they both coached. When Frank loses it all, and much more to a crooked casino owner, he drops out of sight. Marty heads to a small Lake Michigan resort town to find him and get the money back. It doesn't take long for him to discover that Frank has him mixed up in much more than a gambling debt. In West Harbour, Marty finds himself facing a wild lakeshore storm, a series of murders, and a reunion with Frank's sister Emily, a woman he once loved.
