Tom Emit, a traveller who has been trapped on our Earth for seven years, manages to escape this world via a weakened area of space-time with an alien device. He is accidentally accompanied by two friends from this Earth and Tom grudgingly agrees to show them other parts of the vast, Omniverse. A very intelligent and knowledgable young man, Tom, who, at first sight, is an author of little note scraping a living writing science fiction which he knows is science fact. Cynical at times and occasionally aloof, his love for his wife is intense and his mission to find her is a determined one. Incredibly loyal and caring to his friends, Tom, possesses an extremely wicked and sometimes twisted sense of humour. Along the way they are joined by a female scientist from a virtual Earth. Together they set off on a mission to find Tom's wife and rescue her very soul - a journey taking in a galaxy-spanning adventure crossing multiple worlds and universes, taking them to the terrifying Gate of Hell... and beyond.
