Silence of The Lamb Chops

Silence of the Lamb Chops is a compilation of three of the four poetry collections written by Petre Zorne. The fourth, titled Butterflies and Bumble Bees, was not purposefully excluded. Regrettably, it has vanished and according to Zorne, stolen, and irreplaceable. Each of Silence's volumes is a personal reflection chronicling a different period of its creator's extraordinary, turbulent life. The first in the collection is Silence of the Lamb Chops, which the title I have chosen for this anthology. It is fueled by Zorne's perplexing and amorphic relationship with his companion, the femme fatale, Lavender Berkowitz. The second, Pajama Party, is a self-portrait, painted in verse, recounting Zorne's hellish journey into psychosis. Touching Ice Cream Cones, the third volume, introduces a refurbished Zorne-one who is coming to terms with the essence of his existence. Exercise careful consideration before letting this individual seep into your life. Although recognized as scholarly, his critics view his work as a confrontation to the mores of modern-day poetry. Yet, if you chose to read on you will learn that his verse is an annotation from a contentious individual living a tortuous and mysterious existence. For better or for worse, if you allow Zorne in, he may never leave.
