This arrangement requires the Grade 3 technical skills, range, and maturity of high school or college-level performers and an accomplished pianist. After a short piano introduction in a 3/4 time signature rather than the traditional 6/8, the melodic theme is introduced by the soloist in Concert Key of Bb Major. There is a modulation into the Key of C Major. The range is not extreme, rhythmic demands are minimal which makes this a rather easy arrangement to put together and a popular choice for performances in many types of church services during the Christmas season.
