TThis is the concise version of the book with same title. You have been brainwashed by our government and the media on China that has been demonized every day. I can say the same to the Chinese in China. That is why we have conflicts between the two countries. If we do not understand the facts and resolve the conflicts, confrontation will continue and accelerate, and that would lead to decoupling or even a nuclear war. Most China experts in America look at China in their own biased views. Many are limited by their agenda such as seeking consulting works for the U. S. government. I have read many of their books such as "Stealth War", "The 100 Year Marathon" and "Destined for War". Many have distorted many facts on China. Most of these books are selling well, as this is what most Americans want to hear even they are full of errors. The media basically repeat their views even many times they are wrong. As long as they can sell their stuffs, they will continue. Did they learn how to spreading fake news in their training?Fortunately we have some trustworthy media such as Wall Street Journal, The Economist and 60-Minutes have unbiased views usually on China. The most important and usually unbiased opinions are from overseas Chinese that you may not have heard of. I watch or read them and translate their viewpoints from Chinese to English. Hopefully the opinions of this book are unbiased, but you should challenge all opinions in this book. China is rising and U. S. is falling (Section 1 and 2). All empires have risen and fallen and it is a historical fact. We replaced the British Empire, and now China may do the same on us. With the suggested fixes, I wish it would never happen. The next five sections describe the causes of the trade war: Trade deficit, Chinese threat, intelligence properties, liberating China and environment. The real reason is stopping China to pass us. China will pass us eventually. We hope to take actions now to slow it down. The four possible outcomes are described next: trade war, decoupling, military war and co-prosperity. I prefer the last outcome. Decoupling is likely to materialize. There are losers and winners of the current trade war. South East Asia countries will benefit as some factories have been moving from China to these countries. We have waken China on their bottlenecks of their economy. They will spend time in computer chip development and fabrication. In several years, our chip sector will suffer. There are many examples in this book about our double standard, and our standard is the best no matter whether it works in other countries. The primary objective of this book is avoiding a military war with China and reducing the racial discrimination on the Chinese here. If this book can change some readers' views on China, it has fulfilled its objective. This book is a summary of all my other books on China with a lot of updates.
