Jodrell Dimaculangan
Mr. Jodrell Dimaculangan describes part of the Philippines history put into a poem of what the Pilipinos have gone thru from the Spanish reign to the American conquest. Following is a portion of his poem... Listen up my brothers and sisters and take hold, you are about to get awaken by this tale I was told. About our heritage the foreign man stole, we'll gain again the knowledge to tell a thousand folds. It was back before Magellani that our story began. A tale so true the white man banned. Completely wiped from the books we've read, taking as truth every word the devil said. It was of a people proud and true, a people unlike the modern me and you. They came as warriors with Kris (Pilipino Sword) in hand, spilling blood to protect their land. Walking tall as any Datu (Chief) would, tall in dignity they all stood. A moral code was set and followed; fore the grounds they walked were considered hallowed. Fighting to preserve what customs they shared, crossing this line no one dared.
