Wow! I can't believe it's storming. No worries... That's just Alabama weather. You never know what you're going to get. It can be 90 degrees, hot, and humid. Then, out of nowhere, BAM! It's storming. That's ok though. Strangely, that's the furthest thing from my mind as I sit on my front porch starring at the black sky, hearing the roar of the thunder, and witnessing the blind flashes of lightening. The only thing I can do is reminisce and think about you. The feeling I have at this exact moment makes me feel and do something strange. Something I have never done before...write. Forgive me. Let me explain. I am not a writer and never thought I would be; but I was always told - even as a kid -- that I could tell a good story. It just so happens that I have a good one to tell. Don't worry! It's a good one. It's filled with highs and lows, love and loss, and the ending-well, if I tell you everything now, what's the fun in that? You'll find out how that goes. But out of these things, what makes the story interesting is that it's mine; and the only way I can tell it is to start from the beginning. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy.
