Dean was raised to be a village champion since he was a young boy and he has a high opinion of knighthood and the glory that comes with it. Unfortunately for Dean, that world is not as innocent and easy as he would have thought. Being a knight thrusts him into a world of betrayal, heartache, and cruelty to which he never thought existed. Lucky for Dean, he has allies he never knew, and a purpose to fight which he never thought of. Can he come out of this a true hero or will this new world take his morality--alongside his life?
