Election Amnesia
Jean-Baptiste Guillory
This book detail a period in U. S. history much like today. There was election turmoil, racial strife and the result ended up being a civil war in which close to a million people were killed. Not much has changed except the time period. During the 1850s and 1860s, there was a movement in the U. S. that wanted to end indentured servitude and there was another movement that wanted to continue it. Neither side could come to terms and the result was civil war. The question must be asked, "Was the war really about slavery?" Or was slavery just a front for the real purpose? Is an election really about electing people to govern or corporations to plunder and rule? History unveils the answers to these question, but most, if not all have never, will never study such to receive the answer.
