Former Detective Martin Rhodes spent ten years in prison for murder. Someone from Rhodes's past comes knocking on his door asking for his help. Rhodes is also caught off guard by his father's unexpected requested. Meanwhile, Special Agent Jo Pullinger has to deal with two dead bodies of individuals who were once accused of crimes. Jo's heart condition only worsens as she is also faced with a family secret.
