The Unintentional Gap Year Evan Peetros
The Unintentional Gap Year
Evan Peetros
Mental Health is something that affects millions of Americans every year, yet does not get the national spotlight it deserves. My name is Evan Peetros and I am a 20 year old college student suffering from Depression and Anxiety. I began my journey with mental health immediately after high school as I was planning on attending college at Pitt, ready to expand my wings. Although I ultimately had to medically withdraw from Pitt, this journey has contributed to an immense amount of personal growth and has taught me lessons that have molded me into the person I am today. The Unintentional Gap Year gives you a firsthand account of my journey with mental health and all of the hardships and positives that have come from it. I hope that my experience will open up people's eyes to the severity of mental health and help those struggling with mental health reach out for help as I believe it is time to pay it forward to the community that helped me when I was at my lowest point in life. Together we can change the world for the better and end the stigma surrounding mental health!*All of the profits that will come from this memoir will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention*
