In a time when people, especially young people, are looking for guidance and hope, the authors of this book seek to provide a little of both. Soaring with Eagles is a guide for young boys and girls who aspire to Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting. Through personal stories of their experiences in Scouting and Joe, Sr.'s experiences at West Point, this father and son team seek to mentor and guide aspiring Eagle Scouts in their quest to accomplish what only a small percentage of Scouts ever achieve. It is the authors' firm belief that every scout can become an Eagle Scout with the right coaching, motivation, education, and bias towards action. This book will augment the teaching of scout leaders and parents by relating directly to aspiring Eagle Scouts and guiding them to honorably put into action what it means to be "trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent."
