The first time Edrik met Detective Gaia Livilia Pythine, she held him at gunpoint. Now that very gun has been used to commit a murder. When a grateful client invites Edrik to join him at the Commonwealth's most prestigious country club, he promises a weekend of relaxation in luxury. When Detective Pythine arrives, however, she reveals the club's darkest secret. The club is a safe house for war criminals who escaped justice, his host a criminal even among criminals.
