April Woods, a thirteen-year-old girl goes on a school camp. On the camp she falls off a mountain and is sure that she has died. She wakes up from the incident and discovers she had been transported to a new world called Nevella. In Nevella, April makes new friends and goes to a new school. But the Queen of Nevella is set on killing April on her fourteenth birthday for a mark on her arm which is supposedly the 'mark of death'. Can April figure out how to get home before her birthday or will she have to face the Queen in a battle to the death?
