The book Piece of Cake" was published in the Finnish language by Otava, one of the biggest publishing houses of Finland in 2010 and received enormous interest from the Finnish mass media immediately after publication. The main character of this story, Inna, had a secure and fulfilling life in Leningrad, where she had a good job, family, and many friends. Then she met a fantastic Finnish man, who was not only handsome, intelligent and successful, but also promised to take her to the "western paradise." She then moved to Finland, the country of her dreams. From the first day she discovered that the world she saw in the movies had nothing to do with reality. She found life in Finland very monotonous and boring. As a young woman, she felt very lonely and isolated among Finns, especially after realizing that Russians were considered second class citizens there. The marriage to her "dream man" became a nightmare. Her future husband changed from the moment they crossed the border. Very soon his company went bankrupt and the only money the family of four had to live on for several years was from Inna´s scholarship which she received as a university student. She had never been so poor when she lived in Leningrad. The successful life which she had in Leningrad turned into a "hell" where she had to struggle for survival absolutely alone. A successful, sociable woman had suddenly become a despised "Ryssä". Inna´s son, who was born in Finland, was ashamed of her Russian origin and didn't want to be seen with his mumDetermined and strong, Inna built a fantastic career in Finland, but her feeling of being an outsider did not go away. Russian born Inna Latiseva, a successful business executive, spent many years of her life in Finland where she worked as an export director of a large Swedish company and later as CEO of a Finnish group of companies. Fluent in five languages, Inna Latiseva lives in Barcelona, Spain.
