Lainey Jean Barrett has returned home to her native Maple Falls. After getting elected sheriff, Lainey soon learns that she is a witch and the county that she swore to protect is rife with demons. Lainey Jean has accepted the fact that she is a witch. She's even accepted the fact that there are demons. But just as soon as everything calms downs, a new threat arises. Lainey is going to have to call upon otherworldly help if she and the citizens of Maple Falls is going to survive.
