This book summarizes human action against its own environment throughout history, from the first villages to the present day. We have cut down entire forests, islands have been left without a single tree, animal and plant species have disappeared, in the name of progress and civilization. Humanity reproduces without control; we are voracious and blind creatures that destroy our planet without understanding that this means the collective suicide of our children.
