All he wanted was to have a family of his own. To prove that he could be a better parent than his mom and dad. He wanted his life to be perfect. That would show them. So far, things aren't looking too good for Matthew. Slaving away at a grocery store, drinking himself to sleep every night, and isolating himself from everyone he knew wouldn't get him to his dream.
