When a mysterious stranger offers to grant Trisha and her friend Matt the opportunity to visit a fantasy world that Trisha created as part of a writing assignment, she eagerly jumps at the chance. However, something goes wrong and Trisha instead finds herself in a very different place. Aside from the human race, this world is also populated by the Varanai, races of beings Trisha would have considered mythical. Trisha is classified as a Varanai of unknown type and struggles to make sense of the world she finds herself in, a world still dealing with the effects of an ancient event known as the Varanai Transformation.
