Louis Crawford has known his whole life that he was not born on Earth. Fifteen years ago, a celestial battle occurred. It was part of an ancient war between the sun and the moon. The sun won that battle, but the war is far from over. The children of the moon were sent to Earth as refugees bidding time until the next generation rises to take their rightful places on the moon, restore their power, and defeat the children of the sun. Louis thought he was the lucky one, the only moon kid whose parents were sent to Earth to watch over the children. Today is his seventeenth birthday and he's about to discover everything he thought he knew was a lie. But that's far from the only changes he's about to face. Armstrong Academy was built to round up and train the refugees as they come of age during thoseformulative high school years. It's a safe haven for them, but the war is still raging on and the enemy is knocking at their door.
