Jeff Li lost his parents after his father was wrongfully accused of spying for China. Years later he was working as a double agent in Hong Kong and feeling the need for a change to cope with isolation and self-doubt. The year of 2019 presented opportunities for him to advance his CIA career and his relationship with his girlfriend who did not know about his secret occupation. Several assignments during this year placed Jeff on the scenes of police brutality against the protesters in Hong Kong and the track of international spies linked to the Taiwan presidential election.
