These words are my story of survival, survival from the abuse and violence I lived with for so many years, and it is with some degree of shame that I admit, violence that I found repeating over and over in my life. I have learned that the repeating of the violence was not for me to control, I did not ask for this, I did not want this, nor did I find it easy to leave. But leave I did.
