It also shows how a patient survived by seeking real health care on the black market after being refused care or receiving substandard and nearly fatal care in the United States. The book also shows how employers will threaten doctors to prevent employees from getting health care in order to protect themselves from legal liabilities for injuries that occurred at their facilities. Additionally, it shows that the government does absolutely nothing to protect citizens from corporations and a predatory health care system.
