Are you misunderstood?

If you are, it may no bet the words you use but the way you move.

Want to boost your confidence with the skills you already have?

Reading other people's body language is an ability we learn throughout our lives. It's an automatic process as we calculate other's inner thoughts through their nonverbal movements. That's without even knowing we're doing it. Though it does work both ways, others judge us in the same way.

But you can learn how to take control of revealing such clues about your inner thoughts. You can also learn to understand how to read other people's thoughts. Know them better than they know themselves.

Nonverbal language is a silent code. Unlike verbal language, this is a mutual way of communicating across the globe, with only a few variances. If we're aware of this code, the potential for improving our communication skills is endless.

It is true to say that every single one of us has our own set of problems within our lives. These problems are often the stresses that anchor us down. When we feel low, even if we keep it a secret, everyone else knows because we show it in our movements and posture. That forced smile upon our lips may not be reflected in our eyes. This signals to others that we are not being fully truthful.

Being able to read body language has many benefits

People will trust you more because your movements make you appear confident and decisive. As a result of this, you will become more popular and sought after. Being needed is a great confidence booster.

What great advantages this could have in your occupation. Or, make sure that you are successful at that next interview.

How?

Because you learned the skills to read the true nature of the person asking you all the questions. That puts you in control. As your communication skills improve, you will ooze with confidence. Sometimes that's enough to be successful.

The next time you're in a business meeting, sit at the table and observe your colleagues. As you do, watch out for unconscious movements:

How are they seated? Who is leaning towards whom? Do they fiddle with their hair, or swivel their pens?

By better understanding these nonverbal signals, you will gain an insight into what they're really thinking. You will also put yourself across with more clarity.

Don't delay because knowing the kind of power pose that might get you that next promotion, is a skill worth learning about. Be the one that knows how to read your boss and understand their needs. This gives you the advantage to deliver first.

In this book we will discuss the following topics

Non-verbal communicationFacial expressionsMicro expressionsThe voice and the breathDecoding the eyesThe meaning of body postureHow body language reveals emotionsHow body spot lieSpotting romantic interestSpotting insecurity

... And more

Get ahead by knowing when to mirror, when to nod, and when someone is putting up their barriers. What's in a handshake, and what's not?

Tread carefully though!

Body language can be a minefield.

If you misinterpret you could find yourself in hot water.
