I suffered the most horrific car wreck in 2012. A car wreck that should have taken my life, but for the fact it was an older car and rock hard! Well, it didn't. All it did do was motivate me to fight, fight first to stay alive, and not be robbed blind, and then continue to fight for every goal I have since set and acheived. Starting off with the very basic goals, I built the goals year by year. Thus began my journey of self discovery, self growth and self improvement. Did it change me? I believe it did, it made me look inwards, and fix those qualities that are not so cool and generally made me think a little more, before acting! When I started this book, I was still in hospital, eight years ago. It has been a long time in the thinking stage, but if I can reach one person, who is where I was, I will be satisfied. In my other book "The Windmill" written under Lili Laker, I do mention this accident. I mention that because the rest of that book was penned as fiction, but the accident was real. That book was easier to pen, this book was a lot harder as I really had to open some painful memories! But there they are! The reality is this did happen, I have survived, I have grown. There were torrents of tears, and lakes full of laughs, and this book will show you how I did it. There were bad, dark days, good days, and now they are rainbow days! That is my desire for anyone finding themselves in a similar situation, the good days will come. Dream them to life.
