When Madison Miller decides to surprise her daughter Piper for Christmas, she gets a surprise or two herself. Madison arrives in Maui where her daughter is in culinary school only to find she is not there. Deciding to make the best of the trip while waiting for her daughter, Madison checks into a resort where soon she is pursued by an attractive but mysterious gentleman. While on "island time", she challenges herself to meet new people and try new things. Then one night she thinks she sees her one true love across a crowded patio. How could that be she wonders? He was presumed dead. Rushing to where she thought he was she finds he is not there. Throwing caution to the wind, she knows if it was him, she must find him again. And, if she finds him, then what?
