The Volunteer Allie Turner volunteers at the VA hospital to keep the soldier cheered up as they convalesce. She can't do much but keeps them apprised of life in her small town of Rocky Point. When she spots an abandoned dog, her new mission is to save a dog. The Soldier Little does she know her enthusiasm for her home town has spurred one man to seek out that small town as the best place to finish healing from battle injuries. Despite his attempts to remain apart, he's soon embroiled in the small town. He resists involvement in Allie's save a dog program, but to his astonishment, her entreaties lure him in. Save-A-Soldier Campaign Jack would be horrified to find he's the object of Allie's save-a-soldier project. As for Allie, when did her desire to help a soldier turn into a yearning for love?
