Maxine's poetry has been heard on Conrad's Corner, the local WYSO radio station during the past ten years. She has been part of poetry readings in bookstores in Ohio and Maine. She was a yearly participant in Women's Voices Outloud, has read at the annual Winter Solstice Poetry Celebration. Her poetry has appeared in the Bar Harbor Times, The Yellow Springs News, and local publications: Ripples and TurtleZine. She was an attendee and Work Fellow at the annual Antioch Writers' Workshop, and she is a past prize recipient at the Dayton Metro Library Poetry Contest and part of the Winner's Circle at the annual Paul Lawrence Dunbar Memorial Contest.
