Narcissism is one of the most controversial concepts of psychoanalysis, and it's easy to be trapped in a narcissistic relationship.

Do you want to know how to deal with a Narcissist?

If you've been living with a narcissist, you probably already had a good idea of what narcissism is. Anyway, let's talk about what a narcissist is, what makes them tick, and why they act the way they do. Once you have a better understanding of these aspects of your partner's personality, you will be better prepared to take and stand up for yourself and help your partner change into a more loving person.

In general, a narcissist is someone who needs people around to admire them.

They feel that they are the most important person in the room, or even in the world, and so they expect everyone to act a certain way toward them because of it. They also have difficulty with empathy and are not able to relate to the fact that others have thoughts, feelings, and ideas independent of them.

When this becomes extreme enough, one can be diagnosed with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is generally considered more severe and oftentimes, incurable. But there are ways to deal with narcissism with someone you love, which is the purpose of this book.

The narcissists treat people cruelly. Because of their lack of empathy for others, they have no problem hurting or using them for their own gain. The emotions of others have no meaning to them. Moreover, they tend to use manipulation to get whatever they want in the world and tends toward psychopathology, which means that they have difficulty forming relationships like an antisocial person.

Remember that they cannot relate with others in a meaningful way, so people end up being tools they use to get their own needs met. They don't see others as separate individuals.

Examples of narcissistic symptoms:

consider extremely important to receive the attention and admiration of other people

flaunt arrogant and presumptuous behavior or attitudes

believe that everything is due: ask, without reason, to receive favorable special treatment or that requests are necessarily met

excessive pride in the successes achieved and the tendency to disregard others' weaknesses

lack of emotional manifestations

Do these examples sound familiar? Then this book is for you.

In this book we will discuss the following topics:

-The origin of Narcissism

-Does a healthy narcissism exist? page 29

-Traits of targets: have you got any of them?

-How the narcissist controls and manipulates your will page 57
