You've Started Your Business - Now What? Ella R Oji

According to studies by PayPal and American Express, of the13 million women-owned businesses in the US, African American women are the fastest-growing segment of business owners today. While 21% of these companies are owned by African American women, in 2019, the average Black women-owned company earned an average of $24,000 per year, while the average women-owned company earned $142,900 last year. Why? And what can we do to change this disparity? This is what inspired me to develop this workbook in 2020. Now it's 2021 and it feels like we all have been to the brink and back as we deal with a global pandemic and the dawn of a new awakening in America, and indeed, the world. But while some businesses have struggled to make it, other businesses have thrived. And while some businesses have ceased to exist, or exist in their original form, new businesses are being created to meet the new challenges of the day and are succeeding. I decided to update this book based on the issues that have been showing up in my coaching sessions. In full transparency, I also needed a reboot in my businesses, so I have become certified as a spiritual life coach. I have enhanced the five-step process to include the five spiritual principles of the Unity church of which I am a member, addressing mind, body, and spirit.
