Murder at Nine Fingers Charlie's Art Emporium
G Corwin Stoppel Phd
Change was in the air, and Dr. Horace Balfour was prickly about it. Dr. Beatrix Howell had flown off again, his granddaughter Phoebe had her first part time job, and his brother and sister-in-law had established their own circle of friends. He was at loose ends, and when the owner of the new gallery, Nine Fingers Charlie's Art Emporium, offered him a job, he happily took it. But not everyone in Saugatuck was happy about a new gallery, and one owner, Mrs. Comstock, made it clear the village was not big enough for both of them. A few days later she was found dead, shot through the heart, on the floor of Nine Finger's gallery. Worse, Nine Fingers was missing, and there are suspects galore. When Phoebe realizes her grandfather is in over his head, she sends a message asking Beatrix to return.
